Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-19
Askmore (askmore.app) is operated by Bookmate Limited. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Askmore, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. If you have a question or want to exercise a privacy right, contact us at [email protected].
Information we collect
- Account information. Your name, email address, profile image and account identifiers. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the basic profile information that provider shares with us (such as your name, email address and profile image). We never receive your provider password.
- Workspace content. The questions and prompts you submit, the answers generated by the AI models, the comparisons and summaries Askmore produces, and the topics, context and preferences you save.
- Usage and point data. Which models ran, token counts and other usage measurements, the points charged, your point balance, point ledger entries and any point packs you purchase.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive payment metadata such as the amount, currency, status, payment reference and the email associated with the payment. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
- Technical and security logs. Basic information such as IP address, browser or device type, timestamps, error records and security events needed to run and protect the service.
- Analytics. We use Umami, a cookie-less and privacy-friendly analytics script, to understand aggregate page usage. It does not use cookies to track you across other websites.
- We also use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to collect anonymous usage data, such as which pages are visited and how the site is used, so we can improve askmore.
How we use information
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
- To run your questions through the AI models you choose and show the answers, comparisons and summaries.
- To measure and charge point usage, keep ledger records and process purchases.
- To send transactional email such as sign-in, verification and receipt messages.
- To keep the service reliable, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers that help us operate Askmore, and only as needed for the purposes above:
- Stripe for payment processing, refunds and payment-related support.
- Resend for transactional email delivery.
- AI model providers and our model gateway. Askmore hosts model access for you. To generate an answer, your prompt and the related conversation context are sent through Askmore's model gateway to the third-party model providers selected for that question, and their outputs are returned to Askmore. Model providers may include OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek and other providers in the model catalog. You do not need your own API keys.
- Our hosting provider for servers, storage and network infrastructure.
- Legal and safety disclosures. We may disclose information if required by law or if necessary to protect the rights, safety and security of Askmore, our users or the public.
International transfers
Askmore and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one you live in. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers, and we choose providers that apply protections consistent with this policy.
Retention
We keep account and workspace information while your account is active. Usage, point and payment records may be kept longer where we need them for accounting, tax, fraud prevention or legal compliance. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it. Backup copies are removed on our normal backup cycle.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls and encrypted storage of provider credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your account details private.
Children
Askmore is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or object to certain processing, by emailing [email protected]. Deleting your account removes your workspace content from active systems, subject to the retention rules above. You can also contact your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Askmore changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide a clear notice in the service or by email.
